Gabriel Lapointe-Guay, Flute

Holding a Master's degree in Performance with Distinction from the Montreal Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor's degree in Performance from the University of Montreal, both earned under the tutelage of Denis Bluteau, Gabriel now divides his time between performing, teaching, and studying medicine. He recently performed with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada 2025, touring across Canada during the summer. He has also performed as a soloist with the University of Montreal Orchestra and the Montreal Youth Orchestra, as a winner of their respective concerto competitions. 

Gabriel has also served as principal flutist in various ensembles, including the University of Montreal Orchestra, the Montreal Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, the Montreal Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Montreal Wind Symphony, and the Montérégie Youth Symphony Orchestra. He has had the privilege of participating in summer music programs at the Orford Academy, studying with Robert Langevin, Lorna McGhee, and Michael Cox, as well as attending masterclasses with Emmanuel Pahud and Julien Beaudiment at Domaine Forget. Along with flutist Amandine Trudeau-Roy, Gabriel participated in a music therapy program for patients in a mental health facility at the Albert-Prévost Pavilion.
