Achieving excellence through solidarity

Founded in 2009, the Coopérative des professeurs de musique stands out for its personalized approach and the quality of its faculty. Several components are offered to our students, whatever their level and age:

  •    musical awakening allows young people to learn about music in a playful and dynamic setting;
  •     introductory piano and violin classes give young people the chance to tame these instruments in small groups;
  •     private lessons provide students with customized training that focuses on the acquisition of instrument-specific musical and technical skills;
  •     the group classes offer a friendly experience based on sharing music and developing instrumental practice.

We offer two educational profiles to students taking private lessons:

    Le profil académique (in classical music) makes it possible to follow the educational programs of the Conservatoires de musique du Québec, the Cooperative having a privileged partnership with the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal. As a result, students can register for annual exams and obtain certification at the successful level. This program is recognized by the Ministry of Education (MÉES);
    Le profil libre is suitable for students interested in jazz or popular music, as well as classical music, but in a recreational setting;

Regardless of the option chosen, the students of the Cooperative have the chance to participate in the end-of-session concerts and to celebrate their artistic progress with parents and friends!
