An exuberant and passionate musician, clarinettist Louis-Benoît Caron is particularly interested in the music of composers from groups under-represented in classical music. His mission is to contribute to the promotion and diffusion of Canadian music, which according to him contains treasures that deserve to be shared.

A recipient of numerous prizes and awards, Louis-Benoît was awarded the Sandra and Alain Bouchard prestige scholarship in 2020 by the Conservatoire Foundation in recognition of the excellence of his academic achievements and his involvement in the student community. Passionate about teaching, Louis-Benoît is currently pursuing his studies in higher education pedagogy. He has taught clarinet in numerous schools in Quebec and is currently a clarinet teacher affiliated with the Préconservatoire de Montréal, l'Harmonie l'Inspiration de Victoriaville, the Coopérative des professeurs de musique de Montréal and Joseph-François-Perreault high school.

Louis-Benoît has perfected his skills with renowned clarinetists and pedagogues James Campbell, Yehuda Gilad, Charles Neidich, Nicolas Baldeyrou and André Moisan, among others. He holds a bachelor's degree from the Conservatoire de musique de Québec (Stéphane Fontaine studio), a master's degree in performance from McGill University (Todd Cope studio) and a graduate certificate from the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal (Jean-François Normand studio). Louis-Benoît was appointed principal clarinet of the Orchestre symphonique de la Côte-Nord in 2023.
