Jeanne Côté, Violin
Teaching at:
- Plateau Mont-Royal
The violinist Jeanne Côté is now completing her Master Degree at McGill University with Professor Axel Strauss. She did her Bachelor in Conservatoire de musique de Montréal in the studio of Johanne Arel.
Jeanne is a founding member of Quatuor Andara, a string quartet well renown in Canada. The ensemble was in residence for the Concert in the 21st century program at Banff Centre last February and for the Developing career program at the Ottawa Chamberfest in past august. The violinist has also an interest for new music. Supported by the Conseil des Arts et Lettres du Québec, she realized an artistic residency, in Portugal last June, bringing with her contemporary pieces of young Quebec composers.
With her grand devotion for chamber music, Jeanne likes to share her passion for music through teaching. From music teacher’s parents, she started to teach at a young age, giving her now a lot of experience.
