Pianovembre

Our educational activities for the month of November

ANY_8921.jpg

The popularity of the piano is undeniable. Young and old, beginners and advanced alike, our students share their love of music and their thirst for learning with their dedicated teachers. Thanks to them, we are inaugurating the first edition of Pianovembre: a mini-festival centered around this ebony and ivory instrument.

Thus, five activities are proposed to you: a concert and four workshops. These activities are offered free of charge with reservation, places being limited due to current health standards. Please reserve your place by writing to dbergeron@professeur-musique.com

On Saturday 6 November at 3 p.m., pianist, teacher and technician-tuner Nancy Gloutnez offers interested parties a workshop on the operation of the instrument: what is hidden inside this big black box?

On Saturdays, November 13, 20 and 27, at 3 p.m., pianists and educators Lisandre Sévigny Di Quinzio, Sebastian Verdugo and Tatiana Dvorianskaya offer interpretation workshops to our young students. These workshops introduce children to the principle of the master class, in a friendly environment conducive to learning.

On Sunday 21 November at 3 p.m., Colombian pianist Leonardo Escobar will present a recital of a wide variety of works by Benjamin Britten, Joseph Haydn and Frank Bridge. Works that offer a musical journey that is sometimes light and playful, sublime, even enigmatic and dark.
