The OMNI Music Competition is back
for a third (virtual) edition!

Dear Musician,

For the third edition of its OMNI Competition , the Orchester Métropolitain invites you to unveil your talent in the open! You will be able to share unique moments with the musicians of OM  thanks to this pleasant, positive and stimulating experience.  
 
? To participate
 
To participate, you must be between 7 and 17 years old on April 28, 2021. Register by submitting the video recording of your musical performance before April 28, 2021.  The video recordings of all participants will be broadcast publicly from 28 to May 30, 2021 on the OM YouTube channel. Thirty finalists will then be selected for the second stage of the competition in June 2021.

I'M REGISTERING

The registration fee is $ 35 and is non-refundable. Participants registered for the OMNI 2020 Competition (second edition) who have not claimed reimbursement of their registration fees will be able to register for this edition of the Competition free of charge.
About the OMNI Contest
 
The OMNI Competition gives young musicians aged 7 to 17 the chance to showcase their talent in a healthy environment, promoting membership in the collective, a principle dear to OM musicians and their conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin. The creation of a network of young musicians sharing the same passion, enhanced by exchanges with musicians of the Orchestra, even in virtual, promises a formative experience for all participants. 
 
?Many prizes for participants
 
 
Thanks to its generous partners, the OMNI 2021 Competition will award numerous prizes, including:
The Grand Prix François Schubert
$ 5,000 scholarship awarded to the Grand Prize winner in the 15-17 year old category *
 
The Hydro-Québec Prize
$ 2,000 prize awarded to the grand prize winner in the 12-14 year old category *
 
The Yannick Nézet-Séguin Prize
$ 2,000 scholarship awarded to the grand prize winner in the 7-11 year-old category *
 
Many other prizes, including the Jury's Coups de cœur awards , as well as the brand new Audience Coup de cœur award , will be awarded to winners in each of the age and instrument categories. Details will be announced later.

All young people will receive a participation prize  and constructive comments from the jury made up of musicians and staff from OM. 
 
* The winners are selected from all categories of instruments.
